What we collect, which is very little
The demo on this site
The writing box on the home page runs entirely in your browser. Matching a punctuation mark against a list of transition words needs no server, so there is no request to send and nothing to log. Close the tab and the text is gone.
If you join the waitlist
We store the two things you type into the form:
- Your email address, so we can tell you when there is a build to try.
- What you write — the category you pick — so we know who the first version should suit.
Submissions are handled by a Cloudflare Pages Function and delivered to the team by email. We do not sell the list, share it, or add you to a newsletter. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your entry at any time.
Spam protection
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission came from a browser rather than a script. Turnstile does not profile you or track you across sites. Your IP address is visible to Cloudflare while the request is in flight, as it is for any website you visit, and we use a hash of it only to rate-limit repeated submissions.
Analytics
Nothing measures anything until you say yes to the banner. If you allow it, we load Plausible, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you. If you decline, or ignore the banner, no analytics script is added to the page at all. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, so declining leaves nothing behind.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing it stores locally is your answer to the consent banner.
Getting in touch
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, reach us through the form on the home page and say so — a one-line message is enough.
This is a plain-language description of how the site actually behaves, written to be readable rather than to be exhaustive. It is not legal advice, and it should be reviewed before Segue takes payments or launches publicly.
